I'm not sure how the above comments ended up attached to this blog. These should have gone with the blog regarding Susan Estrich. Since I'm not sure how to move them I will just leave this note.

Please comment on my blog. Thanks.

I agree that president Bush had a hand in the defeats in November but he wasn't the only reason. The Republicans in Congress did not stand up for what they believe. Some did, but there were not many. When the Democrats threatened a filibuster, the Republicans caved. In fact every time they made the threat, the Republicans failed to rise to the occasion. If the Democrats say they are going to filibuster then make them truly filibuster. Also, the Republicans have done a terrible job of getting the word out about the facts of the war in Iraq. It seems that they are happy to let the dinosaur media tell the story for them. How often have you heard from any of the major networks that we did find WMDs? Ummm.... this is a tough one. Of course the answer is never. They don't tell us that the soldiers overwhelmingly support president Bush and that they believe in the mission. So let's not blame too much on the president.

Nice Blog Allen and also nice that we see eye to eye on most political matters except for maybe George W. Bush. I voted for the man twice am I'm not sorry but can't help but blame him for the devastating defeats in November. I just hope the next republican president is much better at explaining his policies to the American public. In my mind his lack of good oral communication (and his border policy) to the masses was his doom.

Great point. However, I am not as concerned about this as some. Click Here for facts about her donations. You'll notice that out of $14,770, the majority (totaling $10,500) of that went to Republicans. Also note that the Al Gore contribution was made in 1988. Lawyers often give to both parties. It seems her recent contributions have been primarily for Republican candidates.

There are plenty of positive examples of what a great pick Harriet Miers is and I would encourage all of you to investigate them for yourself. Your comments are always welcome.
